Scheduling conflict

Recently, I got an offer to model that I had to turn down because it conflicted with my work schedule. My therapy job comes first. MT is how I make a living.

Besides my own modest massage therapy practice, I also work part time at a resort spa. I don't have nearly enough clients on my own so I have to take on other part time jobs.

Doing       < this takes priority over that >

As much as I have grown to like modeling, modeling is not my bread and butter. Sometimes I wonder which business should be my number one business.

Preppy summer

I had a photo shoot this morning. The location was an office park. It was a commercial shoot.

This photo shoot was a bit more elaborate than my previous ones. I got there at the break of dawn. This shoot took longer because of the longer prepping process. Also the scene was more elaborate. I assume the client was more demanding as well.

There was a stylist and a make up artist involved with this shoot. The stylist selected the clothes and accessories that I wore. The make up artist styled my hair and applied a bit of make up on me. I did my own styling in my previous shoots.

The other models were for the most part nice. The principle model of this shoot was very cute. There was small talk, but it was very business-like. The photographer was all business. I just followed his instructions.

I continue to learn more about modeling with each job. I learn from talking with the other models and by just observing how they go about doing their work. Overall, I think it went well.
