cool pastels

And now the tale of my latest adventure in modeling.

Sorry, this was no where near as exciting as my recent massage therapy adventure (please read my previous post).

Here I was, doing my best impromptu runway strut. We got lucky that this makeshift runway was set up. We showed up at the right place and at the right time.

This colorful pastel shirt is the latest creation from Meagan. It goes well with a shorter shorts like the one that I had on. I don't recommend wearing baggy cargo shorts or long basketball shorts with it.

tantric yoga

More tales of my adventures in massage therapy...

My clients come in all different shapes, sizes, occupations, and whatever else you can imagine.

One of my clients is a yoga instructor. More specifically, he practices tantric yoga. I have been working on him for a several months now.

Kind of odd you might think: a yoga instructor needing massage therapy. You would think that he gets all the therapy that he might need and want from yoga itself. Whatever the case, I am happy to have him as a client.

All of our previous sessions have been done at his home. But the other day, he wanted me to come to his studio instead.

I definitely got the chance to see tantric yoga in action. It is an interesting concept. Looked like it was a lot of fun.

He tried to convince me to sign up for one of his classes.

I was just a spectator this time. Maybe I will take him up on his offer in the future.

Also, watching the tantric yoga session gave me an idea. Maybe I should start offering tantric massages as part of my repertoire of services. Then again, that might not be such a good idea. I feel a bit dirty just thinking about it.

I went from witnessing tantric yoga to babysitting another client's child. Sort of, about the babysitting, I had to wait for the stay-at-home parent to put her kid to nap before working on her. It was quite a contrasting experience.

I'm Bad

Are you a fan of Michael Jackson's music?

One of my clients is. In fact, during a few of our sessions, she played the Michael Jackson soundtrack on her stereo while I massaged her. I had to listen to the stuff while I worked on her. No matter. I moved my fingers to the beat of "I'm Bad" and whatever else was playing.

For most of my clients, massage time is quiet time. But sometimes the stereo is on, softly playing some easy listening radio station.

Anyway, I have this Michael Jackson t-shirt stored away in my closet. Although I'm not a Jackson fan, I kept it because it has a cool retro kind of look.

I found the right occasion to wear the t-shirt. I wore it the other day to a session with the client who is the Michael Jackson fan. By the way, this client lives in a very nice apartment overlooking a pedestrian mall in Santa Monica.

She got a kick out of it. She loved that I wore the shirt during our session. That was what really mattered to me, a happy customer.

I covered up the shirt after I left her place. I didn't want other people to think that I was an actual Michael Jackson fan.

Back to school

I am not going back to school. But the model in me is.

I recently did a photoshoot for a local retailer that, among other things, sells back to school clothing and supplies. I was just one of a number of models. Apparently, they wanted a good ethnic mix.

Would you wear this to school?

It wasn't too elaborate of a shoot. It was straightforward. It wasn't particularly time consuming, so I was able to fit it into my schedule.

The next two photos are from a photoshoot that I did a while ago. The shoot also had a back to school theme.

Both photoshoots had me wearing eye glasses. The glasses are suppose to make me look scholarly. I guess they thought I looked dumb without eye glasses.

The old hood

I was back in my old stomping grounds yesterday. I did a massage session with a client, who lives a few blocks away from my former abode in the Los Feliz neighborhood.

Shakespeare Bridge
I drove over the Shakespeare Bridge on my way to see my client. This bridge is in the Franklin Hills section of the neighborhood. I haven't driven across the bridge in a while.

I stopped by my former abode after the massage session. It was an in-law apartment within the house. The rent was relatively cheap, but I also had to perform some household duties for the low rent. I wanted and needed a change of scenery. That was why I moved.

I saw my former landlord's son outside the house when I drove by, so I stopped to say hello. He is as preppy as you are going to get.

He seemed excited to see me. We had some good times when I lived there. We did some catching up. We took a walk around the neighborhood. It's a very nice neighborhood. I miss my jogs around the hood.

This is the intersection of Western and Hollywood. This is western edge of the neighborhood. I had a quick bite in one of my favorite restaurants there before I went back to work.
