more workouts

Once you get into the habit of working out at the gym, it is hard to break the habit.

 

I don't workout just to look good. I also feel that it is important to look fit for my job. Since I am in the business of physical fitness, it makes sense for me to be fit. Being and looking fit helps me project an aura of vigor and good health. I think clients respond positively to a therapist who projects that kind of aura.

Of course, being and looking fit wouldn't mean a darn thing, if I can't perform a good massage. You still have to have that magic touch.

 

getting on the Dodgers bandwagon

 I haven't been a big baseball fan for a long while. And I definitely have never been a Dodgers fan.

 

But I am making an exception for the time being, at least as long as the Dodgers are still alive in the post season.

 

The current Dodgers playoff run is the main sports story in LA right now. A good number of my clients and friends are Dodgers fan.

  

So I have decided to jump on the Dodgers bandwagon.



Murals

I met up with my friend Brian this morning for coffee. We had coffee at a café in the arts district. The name of the district speaks for itself. It's an artsy colorful place.

 

 

My white striped black shirt and black shorts stood out in contrast to the colorful and curvy images on the wall.

From a distance and from a certain angle, Brian actually did look like he was part of the mural. He blended in.

I wasn't in an artsy mood this morning when I got dressed. This black outfit is sort of my equivalent to a black business suit. I was thinking about business and not about fun. I didn't have any fun clients scheduled for today, so I chose to wear what I wore.

san pedro

 I was in San Pedro last Thursday. I never had a client before who lived in San Pedro. San Pedro is the name of the area around the port of Los Angeles.

 

 

 

I hadn't been in San Pedro in quite a while. The port of LA is the major industry there. Away from the harbor, there are residential neighborhoods. The neighborhood where my client lives is a working class neighborhood. The area has quite a different feel about it than other parts of LA.

 

I wore a simple black outfit. When I meet a client for the first time, I like to keep things basic and lowkey. I also wanted to look athletic and professional. That is why I chose the outfit that I did.

 

 

A friend of mine referred me to the client. She was there to introduce me to the client, who is her friend. She and I spent some time around the harbor after the massage session.

The smell of industrial sea water was surprisingly invigorating. I enjoyed my time there. I will definitely visit the area in the future for some sight seeing. My job has taken me to places that I otherwise would not go to. I "discovered" a new place to explore in LA.

Just hanging out in the city with a new friend. 

 

 

It was a workday for me. But I had time to hang out in the morning with my friend.

 

What to wear?

 

I picked an outfit that was both casual for socializing and professionally appropriate for my job. I think I pulled it off.
